Chateau de Versailles

My dear friend Katie and I wandered about Europe together this past summer. We visited the Chateau de Versailles and were blown away. I love this pretty photo taken at Marie Antoinette's home. I wonder what it was like actually living there...

[Happy] Paper Eyes

What a fun idea to brighten everyone's day.

Elizabeth Schuppe

I love abstract art... it shows so much emotion and vulnerability to me. I recently came across an artist and quickly fell in love: meet Elizabeth Schuppe. I hope to have one of her paintings adorning on my wall someday...

Charmed Life

My lovely sis-in-law, Joy, releases her new EP, One Of Those Days today! You can download it at iTunes or order a hard copy through sensibility music. I can't pick a favorite (it's that good) but I'd have to say it's between "What Can I Do (But Love You)" and "Charmed Life." Go have yourself a listen...

Beautiful cover art by this not this.

Doily, Doily, Doily

Try saying that ten times fast! I'm seeing doilies all over the place lately...

These plates from fred flare are the absolute cutest! I'm drawn to the classic design of the top left one. Which is your favorite?

Hello Handmade

I just love this pretty wall calendar from Hello Handmade. I'm not usually crazy about calendars, but something about this lovingly handwritten calligraphy mixed with festive dandelions make it hard to resist.

A Deconstruction of Books...

I can't help but smile looking at the stunning paper art by Su Blackwell. I wish I had the patience to try my hand at it.

Life In Technicolor ii

This is ah-mazing. Coldplay, you never let me down!

Thanks, Nate.

Dear Gemma,

Your music is heavenly, you look like a supermodel, and you're from Ireland. Could I please be you for a day?

If you haven't heard her latest record, The Hollow Of Morning, I strongly suggest getting it now! Perfect for this cold, snowy day here in Nashville.

Fields & Flowers

These lovely prints are available at abby try again.

The Sartorialist

Scott Schuman, aka The Sartorialist, started a blog simply to share photos of people that he saw on the streets that he thought looked great. His photos are always sensational and inspiring...

[Two Little Birds]

My husband and I received this beautiful painting as a wedding gift from our insanely artistic friends, Asher and Missy. You could say I have a slight obsession with birds. Check out more of Asher's work here.

MawMaw's Sausage Casserole

How adorable are these owl recipe cards? My dear friend Katie recently shared her grandmother's delicious (and easy!) breakfast casserole recipe:

MawMaw’s Sausage Casserole:

1 lb. mild sausage
6 slices white bread (if you cut the crust off, use 7 slices)
2c milk
4 eggs, beaten
8 oz. bag of shredded mild cheddar cheese
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp dried ground mustard (good with or without)

-Brown sausage & drain fat, set aside
-In a separate bowl, combine beaten eggs, milk, mustard, salt & pepper
-Tear the 6 slices of bread into chunks and layer evenly in a 9x12 pan
-Sprinkle the browned sausage over the bread, then sprinkle the bag of cheese over that
-Pour the egg mixture over the layers & press firmly with your hands (gross, but effective)
-Cover & refrigerate overnight, if possible
-Bake for 45 minutes at 325 degrees F

Far From Here...

It's always an exciting time when a new catalog comes in the mail... Urban Outfitters today.

The early spring collection is so pretty... I'm really loving some of the one-piece swimsuits. I usually enjoy the winter and getting all bundled up, but this year I have been longing for the warmer weather. Spring is my favorite season by far - and not just because I have an April birthday.

Colors, Colors & More Colors

"I live in an old sewing factory building in Brooklyn. Lime green not only complimented the rich brown color of my grandmother's old sofa, but it also added much needed warmth to the industrial space. Knowing that it was a sewing factory, we were inspired to create our own decorative elements, like the lamp and pillows, and seek out other items for free from the streets (orange chairs and end table) or flea markets (the wood letters and dragon wall paper sample). It was a lot of fun turning the factory into a unique, interesting and comfortable place to call home."

I could get lost in Domino Magazine's "Galleries" photos online. I especially love the "Readers Room" section where readers can send in their own photos.
