Snow Angel

Home, sweet home. We got back last evening and spent most of the day cleaning, sorting through all of our wonderful Christmas gifts and organizing our closets. We also found the time to make homemade potato soup, do a zillion loads of laundry and watch Up for the second time. It's soo nice to be home.

I won't be blogging consistently again until after the new year, but wanted to share a few pictures from our time in Colorado. It was a lovely white Christmas! I decided to make a snow angel and ended up taking a tumble on the ice right after. Quite a graceful moment for me! :)

...Christmas Break...

via we heart it

So I know it seems I've started my Christmas break a little early {sorry dear blog} but I can assure you that I haven't. Post office visits, gift buying, gift wrapping, work work work and lots of errand running. We have to be at the airport at 4:30 AM tomorrow - yuck! We're heading to snowy Colorado for a white Christmas with my family. I'm feeling pretty mentally, emotionally and physically worn out and am anxious for a few days of rest and spontaneity. I have a huge to-do list to tackle when we get back and am going to work on some New Years Resolutions! Maybe if I post them here, I'm more apt to stick to them?? :)

I'll be taking a little break away from the blog for the holidays but will be back with pictures from our trip and new inspiration for the new year! A very Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to you!

Carrot Top

I've decided to dye my hair over Christmas... what do you think? There is not a whole lot I can do with it right now - being the shorter length that it is - so while I grow it out, the only big change I can really get is through color. I think I might go for a pretty red. These photos of redheads are just too lovely!

It's A Soup-Kind-Of-Night

Hi friends... Sorry for my lack of posts lately! Why is it that the holidays are always so crazy? It takes twice as long to get anywhere around this town - so frustrating! We're heading to Colorado for Christmas this year and couldn't be more excited. I promise to post photos from our Christmas celebrations along the way! What will you be up to?

Tonight was a very-much-needed relaxing evening. We made some yummy {and super easy} carrot soup found on Bleubird Vintage's blog and watched multiple movies on TV... Hello Sleepless In Seattle! Hope you all had a lovely day. Happy Holidays & a Happy Weekend to you!

Tasteful Interiors

What a lovely day. I spent most of the day lying in bed, catching up on the blog world, listening to Delta Spirit and dreaming about decorating {shhh, don't tell the hubs}. I love my house just the way it is, but can't help but constantly dream up new ideas, new paint colors and rearrange furniture. It's in my blood!

Here's some homes that were inspiring me today...

[Pajaki] Folk Art Chandeliers

I could not be more smitten with these amazing Polish folk art paper chandeliers [Pajaki - literally translated as spider of straw]. Many crafty bloggers have created their own versions inspired by ones found at the Polish Art Center. If only I were so creative!

Let's Get Cozy!

I just love this time of year... pretty lights, holiday cheer, warm & fuzzy feelings, peppermint mochas, cuddling... the list could go on and on. It's getting colder and colder outside and I'm in for a rude awakening this week in Utah {snow and temperatures in the teens!}. I'd love to stay cozy in these adorable wintery items ::

Away I Go

Tomorrow I fly out to Salt Lake City, Utah. I'm excited to do some work {redecorating a living room space}, eat at my favorite burrito place, catch the TOT Christmas show and visit dear family and friends. Of course I'll be missing my love... but when I get home it'll almost be Christmastime - which means lots of time together! YAY!

Also, I recently started a Tumblr page for Troubadour Vintage... I'll be posting my inspirations, new listings and exclusive sale info! Check it out here. Happy Monday, my friends!

Pretty, Pretty

These amazing frocks make me wish it wasn't so cold and bitter outside...
